Happy Independence Day! What a wonderful land we live in. We believe what makes it great is the patchwork of people, cultures and traditions all in one place living together. There’s no place like it anywhere. And to echo that, we created banners paying tribute to our nation’s flag and marched them in Lake Junaluska’s annual July 4th Parade, meticulously designing and placing color in monotone palettes in each section of the traditional flag template. We also tie dyed shirts and made individual flags which the kids wore on head pieces or necklaces. Some of us even wrote our own constitutions! The week would not have been the same had we not made our own ice cream to eat. Browse the photos, enjoy the video, and for goodness sake… tell your friends and your friends with kids! Let’s keep Lake Junaluska Day Camp the strongest in the region!
